Influence of Calcium Acetate Concentration in Electrolyte on Tribocorrosion Behaviour of MAO Treated Titanium

Ti-based materials are widely used for dental and orthopaedic implant applications due to their adequate mechanical properties, corrosion behaviour biocompatibility. However, these biologically inert display poor wear resistance. In one of the most studied processes that aims overcome drawbacks, Ti surfaces often covered by anodic oxide films with incorporation bioactive agents such as Ca P. Although there several works on tribocorrosion MAO-treated surfaces, influence electrolyte composition kinetics under sliding is yet be fully understood. present work, were produced cp-Ti different calcium acetate concentrations in electrolyte. Tribocorrosion was investigated reciprocating tests performed 8 g/L NaCl solution at body temperature, potentiostatic conditions.
